TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1) General Information

2) Entrance Tickets
The ticket must be brought on the day of the visit and shown to the staff at the entrance. The ticket can be presented electronically on a mobile phone or tablet, or in printed form. If printed, the buyer is responsible for ensuring the barcode is clearly printed so it can be scanned at the entrance.
One ticket grant one visit for one person. Entrance tickets purchased on May 6, 2024, and thereafter are only valid for the chosen date. Entrance tickets purchased before May 6, 2024, can be used for one visit within one year from the date of purchase.
Entrance tickets are non-refundable. Tickets are not covered by the standard 14-day right of withdrawal. The buyer waives the right to have the entrance tickets refunded within 14 days of purchase, according to the Act on Certain Consumer Agreements § 17(2) cf. § 9(2) no. 2a.
A ticket is a bearer instrument. Experimentarium cannot be held liable for misuse of tickets, such as if tickets are forwarded, printed multiple copies, or used by someone other than the intended person.
Once the ticket is registered at the entrance, there is free access to all Experimentarium exhibits, activities, demonstrations, and shows throughout the day. Access to exhibits, activities, demonstrations, and shows is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests may find that certain installations are out of service or that shows and demonstrations are fully booked, and Experimentarium reserves the right to cancel shows and demonstrations without prior notice, without this entitling the guest to a refund of the entrance ticket.
Experimentarium uses dynamic pricing, and the ticket price may vary according to high and low seasons.
Guests requesting discounts must present valid documentation entitling them to the respective price.
 
3) Annual Pass
Annual passes are non-refundable. Annual passes are not covered by the standard 14-day right of withdrawal. The buyer waives the right to have the annual pass refunded within 14 days of purchase, according to the Act on Certain Consumer Agreements § 17(2) cf. § 9(2) no. 2a.
An annual pass grants the holder access to Experimentarium for one year from the purchase date, every day during opening hours.
An annual pass is strictly personal and may only be used by the holder, whose name and photo appear on the pass. The holder is responsible for ensuring the pass is not used by others. If the pass is used by someone other than the holder, it will be confiscated. The confiscated pass will not be returned, and the payment for the pass will not be refunded, either fully or partially.
The annual pass is digital, and the buyer will receive an email shortly after purchase with a link to the pass, allowing it to be saved on the mobile phone. If the buyer wishes to purchase a physical plastic card, this can be done for a fee of DKK 30.
The holder must bring their annual pass every time they visit Experimentarium and present it at the entrance. If the holder forgets their pass, Experimentarium can resend the email with the link to the pass, which must be saved on the phone immediately for the holder to be scanned in. If the holder forgets the physical card at home or cannot show the pass on their phone, a fee of DKK 30 will be charged per card.
If the holder loses their annual pass, Experimentarium must be contacted immediately, after which the pass will be blocked and a new one issued for an administration fee of DKK 30. If the pass is used by another person without being blocked, it will be considered misuse, and the card will be confiscated. Confiscated passes will not be returned and will not be refunded.
Experimentarium reserves the right to confiscate an annual pass if the holder has acted unlawfully in or towards Experimentarium, or has exhibited unacceptable behavior towards other guests, staff, or property at Experimentarium.
The annual pass is binding and cannot be canceled or refunded during its validity period.
Information provided when purchasing an annual pass will be treated confidentially and will not be shared with other companies. See more under the privacy policy section.
 
4) Gift Cards
Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, and unredeemed gift cards cannot be paid out. The gift card is valid until the expiration date printed on the card. If there is no expiration date on the gift card, it is valid for 3 years from the date of issuance.
If the Payment Act § 96(2) is applied, we reserve the right to charge a fee of DKK 50.
 
5) Delivery
Experimentarium collaborates with GLS and ships physical goods on weekdays.
To make it as flexible as possible, you can choose from several shipping methods:
Delivery to parcel shop DKK 40 (free shipping on purchases over DKK 450)
Delivery to home address DKK 65 (free shipping on purchases over DKK 450)
Save on shipping: Pick up your order in our store at Experimentarium
Delivery time is 3-5 weekdays.
Shipments abroad: We do not send physical goods abroad.
Receipt of entrance tickets, annual passes, and gift cards: Sent via email immediately after placing the order.
 
 
6) Right of Withdrawal for Physical Goods
As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you purchase physical products from us.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you receive your item. If you have ordered several different physical items in one order, but they are delivered separately, the period runs from the day you receive the last item.
The period means that you have 14 days from receipt to inform us that you wish to withdraw your purchase by sending an email to webshop@experimentarium.dk.
You cannot withdraw from the purchase by refusing to receive the physical item without simultaneously informing us.
Partial Withdrawal of a Purchase
If you have purchased several physical items from us, you have the option to return one or more items, even if they were purchased in one order.
Please note that you will not receive shipping costs back if you withdraw from part of your purchase.
Returning Items
Once you have informed us that you wish to withdraw your purchase, you have 14 days to send the item back to us.
You must pay for the return shipping, and you are liable if any damage occurs during transport.
Condition of the Item When You Return It
You are only liable for any reduction in the value of the item due to handling other than what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the item. In other words, you can try the item as you would in a physical store, but you may not use it in any real sense.
If the item has been tried beyond what is described above, we consider it used, which means that if you withdraw from the purchase, you will only receive part or none of the purchase amount back, depending on the item’s commercial value.
Refund of the Purchase Amount
If you withdraw from your purchase, you will receive your money back. If the item is devalued, we will deduct the amount you are liable for.
We will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (but not extra delivery costs if you have chosen a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery we offer), no later than 14 days from the day we have received your notice that you wish to withdraw from the agreement.
We will return the money using the same payment method you used for the purchase unless we have agreed otherwise.
We may withhold the payment until we have received the item unless you send us proof of having returned it.

You can also withdraw from the purchase by informing us and delivering it in person at the above address by prior arrangement.
We do not accept packages sent without delivery or packages sent by cash on delivery.
 
7) Right to Complain About Physical Goods
There is a 2-year right to complain according to the Sale of Goods Act. Our right to complain covers defects in materials and/or workmanship. Complaints do not cover defects or damage caused by improper handling of the product/service.

8) Payment
Experimentarium accepts payment by Dankort/VISA-Dankort, VISA, VISA Electron, Mastercard, Eurocard, Diners Club, and JCB. Payment will only be deducted from your account when you receive your entrance tickets via email or when the physical goods are dispatched. All amounts are in Danish kroner (DKK) and include VAT. Entrance tickets to Experimentarium are exempt from VAT.
Please note that offers cannot be combined with other discounts or promotional offers.
 
9) Force Majeure
Experimentarium is not liable for damages due to force majeure, which includes, among other things: war or threat of war, rebellion, civil unrest, terrorist activities or threats of terrorism, labor disputes, natural disasters or nuclear disasters, adverse weather conditions, fire, and all similar events beyond our control.
 
10) Privacy Policy
We require the following information when you shop with us:
Name, address, phone number, and email address.
We register and disclose the personal information necessary to deliver the goods to you.
The personal information is registered with Experimentarium and stored for five years, after which it is deleted.
We also collaborate with a number of companies that store and process data, with whom we have data processing agreements. These companies process the information solely on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.
We only work with data processors in the EU or in countries that provide adequate protection for your data.
The data controller for shop.experimentarium.dk is Experimentarium.
You have the right to know what information we process about you.
If you believe the information is inaccurate, you have the right to have it corrected. We are obliged to delete your personal data if you request it. This may be the case if your data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we used them. However, regarding annual passes, if you choose to have your name and email address deleted, the annual pass will technically and practically no longer function.
